For years I focused only on black and white. This "bare essential" style allowed me to whip out drawings swiftly and affordably in the demanding environment of the factory. The deprivation of color allowed me to develop rhythm of line. After leaving the factory, I maintained my ritual of drawing at fast-food restaurants. It is here that color exploded onto the scene in the form of fashion drawings. They came in droves and were multi-cultural. The feminine element that was originally posterior was now facing. I'm awaiting the opportunity to bring them to life on frosted runway floors, amidst rising fog and oblique lighting.
