These were awkward pieces, the adolescent stage of my drawing style. But they are part of the history of my style. Notice the ripped paper - that'a because after my larger drawing board was demolished by hammers, I later mounted a more discrete drawing board in my work station which required that I rip the paper in half. I was making the transition from the limited world ruled by the play of opposites to a higher consciousness. Using visualization while drawing, I imagined myself wielding a large brush across a wall, balancing the sroke in a field of space that considered weight, gravity, magnetic forces, and light as one continuum.
